Is that the one at Salem and Gettysburg? If so, it's still open.

According to the lady who owns El Greco's the donut palace did close last year, but has since reopened under new ownership.

American Classic near the SE corner of Woodman and Linden has *outstanding* apple fritters. An old style donut shop; it's between the payday lender and Burger King.

I would like to stop by for some fritters but the parking lot don't look to friendly any more, has anybody been there and is it safe? I'm talking daytime not night time.

bentz - I've been there several times and never had a problem with anyone. I get the donuts and leave.

I remember buying the very FIRST issue ticket of the Ohio Lottery at the Donut Palace. I also would buy the empty filler tubs (basically like the 5 gallon tubs you get at Lowes or Home Depot) but I got them for 50 cents - just had to clean them out. They had great donuts, but I haven't been there in a while. The neighborhood has drastically changed over the last 30 years or so. *sigh*
