Does anyone remember a miniature village near Englewood? My dad used to drive us over to Englewood every other Sunday back in the 60's (most of his family were there) from Beavercreek. I have dim memories of going past a miniature village on someone's front yard. All dad ever told me was that it was built by stone mason.

Between 1912 and 1952, Sam Gingrich built dozens of monuments at his home at 7940 N. Main St. including plaques, a memorial to the Wright brothers, fountains, fish ponds, lodges, sculptures and tribute in stone to God and trees. That might be the place. If you want to see some picures, go to the Dayton Images/Videos button on the right, then click on Dayton in the 1940s. Some of the pictures appear there.

This is what I remember. Now what ever happened to all these structures?
