We are trying to remember the name of the restaurant on Salem that would be before the KonTiki on the east side of Salem. There was a murder there and closed soon after. They served very good food and it had a comfortable atmosphere. I believe they were known for the 16 oz. steaks. Can anyone help me on this........
Hi - The bar/restaurant north of Siebenthaler, on the east side of Salem was the Keyhole lounge. The ad had a man with a large nose looking through a keyhole (cartoon type). The food (steaks, hamburgers etc..) was excellent.
Thank you very much for your reply, you have made two rather forgetful people happy that there is still someone out there that remembers these things. When you have been raised in this area in the mid 40's it is a bad feeling to no be able to recall the places that you passed by all the time growing up and now there is another building there or nothing at all. I can still taste the hotdogs from the concession stand at Old River.......
