Anyone else remember these chains and the good meals to be found there. Kettering had one and was located on Far Hills-Stroop Rd. area where where Marions and a PNC bank are located now. at Town and Country. So many wonderful eateries and most have disappeared. Marions still does a great business around town and is still my favorite pizza place. Seems like I remember the original Marions on N.Main and was on a corner, just can't remember name of street. Back then it had other offerings besides pizza. Place closed some years ago but empty building still there.
As a kid in the 50's and 60's, when my parents would take me to Howard Johnsons, it was always a real treat. I LOVED the fried clams and back then that was the only way to get them. None were available in the grocery stores. All of these places have been discussed before but I always liked Village Inn Pizza too. I am sure I will have Marions several times next week as we will be in town for out annual 4th family reunion. ---------- 87 Buick GN
