Does anyone remember a heavy set lady who went by the name Big Red? She was a good singer with a good sence of humor. I know where she lived and can't come up with her real name. Would imagine she has been long deceased. Leaving it up to you folks to come up with more names of our locals.

Forgot all about Betty Greenwood. That era of night clubs and good entertainment has been lost and gone forever. Its a shame what has gone by the wayside over the decades.

I'm thinking the name of the club was Betty Greenwood's Cascade Club. All the servers sang on stage and one of the most popular was a guy named Leroy Rogers. This was in the 60's.Anyone could get up and perform. It was a great time.

Here is a link to a site belonging to one Malcolm Macleod, who used to host a children's show on Ch 22, Saturday morning's, I believe. http://malcolm-tv.com/.
Malcolm is, in fact, a '61 grad of Chaminade H.S., a fellow-grad of mine. This site shows Malcolm with some pretty prestigious guests.

JJC I ran around with Malcom once in a while. I was good friends with his cousin Vendal Nagy and some times we would get together and run around. Our paths crossed once when we were dating the same girl she was very attractive and it was funny when we found out we were both dating her. Her name was Bee.

I received a reply from Malcolm last week (Oct. 7). He gave me a brief rundown on what his life has been like of late. He was leaving last Wednesday for Italy for a week, working on a TV project. He's also involved in an ecommerce project.
I went to Chaminade with Malcolm. We weren't "run-around" type friends, but always had nice conversations with him at school.

joey_m: I found Malcolm's website, MALCOLM-TC.com, on "google". At the very bottom of that website, having to scroll down several pages, he states, "I can be contacted at macleodpb@aol.com " , which is where I reached him.

Was this the same Malcolm that went to Philmont Scout Ranch with Post 390 in 1959-1961?

JJCofMAINE Thanks for Malcoms # I called him last week and he remembered me and we talked for about an hour. He remembered the girl we talked about and we talked about his cousin and he was going to try and get a hold of him and have him call. And the guy I thought was his cousin was just a good friend. We talked for almost an hour. Theres nothing like an old friend you haven't heard from in a while.
