There was a Scotties in Xenia maybe late 60's on the rough east end..They were very similar to White Castle but not as good. In my young days I could eat maybe 10 of the burgers.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think there may have been a Scottie's on N. Dixie, across from the high school in Vandalia.

Sgot - You're right about the Scottie's in Vandalia. It set empty for some time after they closed and then was opened as CB Radio Hospital by Mike T. It is now a boat accessory dealer.

There was also a Scotties in Brookville. My girlfriend worked there and smelled strongly of grilled onions after work. It would get in her hair...but then again I guess I did too, cause she dumped me right around then. Smart girl!

There was a Scotties in front of the Englewood Plaza(Englewood) in the early 1970's. It was managed by the father of some kids who went to Northmont. Everyone referred to it as "Snotties." I thought the small hamburgers were better than White Castles.' The building is long gone.

There was a Scottie's in Beavercreek on N Fairfield Rd just north of Dayton-Xenia Rd back in the early 70's. It switched to Bud Frantz's Restaurant. Now it is El Toro.

yes there was a scottie's. The hamburgers tasted just like white castle. There was one on Gettysburg ave. down the road by the old Goldman's department store.
The house of wheat funeral home sits on the site where it use to be.

I remember Sandy's on Airway Road when the hamburger's were 15 cents in the 60s. My family did most of its shopping there. My mother worked as a sales lady at Airway Fashions in the '70s. One summer when I was on break from WSU (and had worked at WSU as office staff and work/study student) my mother got me a job at Airway Fashions. After two days of doing stock work in the back room, I almost knocked the owner aside to get out of the store -- clothing retail was the hardest work I had ever done.

There was a Scotties in Kettering on Marshall Road. There was a tornado in the 60s' that went across Marshall Rd and wiped out the restaurant. It was located beween Stroop Rd and Devon on the east side of Marshall Rd.

Bob45 - The Hamburger stand on Marshall, near Stroop
was a Sandy's. My granma lived near there, and from
1965-1969, we chowed down on double cheese-burgers.

I loved that stand.

"I'm not 100% certain, but I think there may have been a Scottie's on N. Dixie, across from the high school in Vandalia."
The one I know of on N. Dixie was across from Ontario's. My dad always just called it "The 14ยข hamburger joint." Very different tasting, and better, than White Castle as I recall.
