Before "we" go I would like to know if anyone has remembrances of the Dayton Wire Wheel Co. founded in 1916.
An advertisement has the address as 826 Miami Road, but I have found the old factory building next to train tracks crossing Miami Chapel east of Wisconsin. I've been with the company since 1978 and have been curious about info from earlier years.

You might use Curts site search, subject search, books and booklets. So much information on here and believe Curt is leaving this all intact.

Dayton wire wheel is not connected to Dayton steel wheel.Daytonsteel foundry was located on Miami chapel and several other smaller locations in the area.Dayton wire is now in Centerville around clyo and franklin and had been in several locations.Ibelieve it was founded by the Roggge family.

What I believe is the original factory on Miami Chapel was "consumed" by a building for Specialty Papers. When you look south down the tracks you can still see the exterior wall. I have a very photograph of "The Dayton Wire Wheel Co." which looks like the tracks were under construction at the time.
I am confused by the old ad with the Miami Road address.
