There was a great Sunday afternoon skating rink near 4th & Ludow where all the top name big bands and stars would appear. Names like Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, the Platters, So many more. Anyone care to add more stars names. We really didn't appreciate just how good it was. Right?

To continue, Sunday afternoon, regardless of rain, sun, cold or hot, downtown was the place to be. You would be with friends old and new. Of course the hope was to see some outstanding stars and of course possibly meet someone new and exciting for your love life. The place was always packed with kids from all over Dayton. And you know, there was rarely a time when any harsh words or fighting took place. Those were good times.
Other groups appearing there were "The 4 Aces", Patty Paige" "Ray Anthony Big Band". How about some more????
