Gary Chinn (former mgmt of Children's Palace) now resides here in Dallas and works as a financial and human resource mgr for a product agency. He too misses Peter Panda :)

I loved Children's Palace. We were closer to the one on Salem and it was a treat to get to go, even if we weren't buying anything. It was huge to a 7 year-old, and much better than then big box competitor ToysRUs. Of course, I thought Jandy's on Main was even better, but that's because Mr. Jandy would let us play with the toys. Sometimes he played too. It's a sham,e places like that don't exist anymore.

Backwards "R" in "Children's Palace". I went to Precious Blood Elementary at Salem/Denlinger and the school bus went by it every day, as did my family on the way to church a couple times a week. As a youngster, I always wondered how they got away with a backwards "R", lol
