Early Drive-In Theaters

 

            Film Daily Year Book 1942 published a list of ninety-five drive-in theaters in twenty-seven states that were open as of mid-February 1942.  Ohio led the pack with eleven, which did not include Dayton’s first drive-in on Valley Street, since it did not open until May of that year.
