Does anyone remember a male dancer who used to wow all the women at the Dayton bars in the 70's. I think his name was "Jeremiah". This was years before the Chippendale dancers and other male revues.

He actually lived right down the street from me near the Dayton Mall. We were young and would drive by and yell bad things at him when he was out. One particular day we yelled some things and there were a bunch of guys outside at his house. Turned out it was undercover cops and they followed us up the street and gave us the once over. We never yelled at him after that.

I think his name was Jeremiah Shastid and he was from Dayton. I can also remember some radio promos for bars and night clubs where he was performing.

I somehow missed seeing Jerimiah or if I did I was not impressed. lol I did however see Big Red. He put a dollar in my top! It was more fun watching the ladies that came to see him. Standing on the tables and chairs and screaming as loud as possible. That was the quiet time of the show. lol They had to tell me to stop all that noise lol-nuts

All I can find currently for Mr. J is a woodworking company down in Florida. Somebody should go interview him. I'll bet he has some stories to tell.

I have a photo of Jeremiah giving my grandma (!) a (rather tame) lapdance, from back in the late 70s. All seemed pretty innocent -- lots of middle-aged (and older) office gals would go just for the novelty. No full nudity, so even grannies could giggle.

Also, I remember reading an article in the DDN in which Jeremiah (at the height of his local fame) came out as bisexual, which was pretty brave at the time.

Does anyone remember the name of the restaurant on N. Dixie that turned into the Pink Cadillac?
