I have an important question. I need to know what the name of the Unwed mothers Homes name was and a name and phone number of someone. I know the Mother of the house might be deceased but I know she had a daughter and I would love to get in touch with her. You see my Mom stayed in this home for a while. The address back in 1964 was 1017 Grand Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. ( Montgomery County)
Please anyone with information on this please contact me it is very important. It means alot to our Family. Our Mom passed away back in August of 2008. I want to to put closure on this subject for me and my two Sisters.
Thanks beckyvfw
May God Bless anyone with information.

I have one more question. Anyone out there know anyone named Robert (Bob) McCauley who was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base back in 1964. I would appreciate any information.

The only name I can remember that may be associated is the Florence Crittenton Residential Home for Unwed Mothers. I have no idea if this is related to your search but it may be a starting point. good luck

Riverdale,
Are you saying there was a Crittenton home in Dayton?

Becky,
Let us know how this search has gone for you. I have suggestions if you still need them.

Hi Becky, I have a 1962 Dayton City Directory. (Sorry, I don't have a 1964) that lists 1017 Grand Ave as being the home of a private individual...a Mrs. Nora W. Myers. I'd suggest a trip to the main library downtown where they have a 1964 City Directory.
