Anyone know of a bar called The Hitching Post that was in Dayton in the 1960's? If so, where was it located? Any info would be appreciated.

Wow, hung out there 1975-78. Rick Condi was owner, maybe his Dad. Rick was a wannabe boxer. Think his brother was killed at Eisenhauer's bar. Both in old North Dayton. Think Brandt and Findlay for HP, or a house North of there.

These are probably 2 different Hitching Posts. Would Matt64 have a general location?

I think it was the S Main St one. A friend of mine said his grandfather owned it in the 60's-70's, and he was looking for some info anyone might have. I do not know his grandfather's name. I told him about this site and thought I would ask around. Thanks.

Kkelly~I don't know anything about the bar but in the 60's I used to go to Rick and Linda Condi's house a lot with my ex-husband.They had a little girl named Patti
I remember that Linda's aunt Marj wrote a column for the Journal Herald News everyday.
There were many, many poker games at Rick's house back in the day and my ex never missed any of them.
My ex father-in-law spent his time at Eisenhauer's !
