Across the street from Fairview High School on Hillcrest Ave. was a hamburger hang-out place that was open during school hours mainly for lunch and after school that served cherry Cokes, shakes, hamburgers and fries, and the best soft pretzels you ever ate. It was primarily open for high school students only and was the alternative place to the cafeteria. It was so important to my high school days and I am looking for a picture of it. Anybody know of one? It is gone now of course. The juke box was loud and busy. It was THE place.

Great memories. I actually worked there for Jim Urban, the big guy that owned and ran the place. I also worked for him at Welcome Stadium in concessions during football games. Just a vacant lot, as is Fairview High School. Too bad.
