Yeah, it would have been better if my article had a picture of the cover of the book. Ah, well, I'm using it to scare kids off my front lawn.

Ask Curt to send you a copy.... I bet he bought a few hundred copies of the newspaper that day .

I see that Curt made the Dayton Daily News again today (Sunday).... Article about a murder on the Ridge avenue bridge is mostly based on one of his books.

Curt.... that Mrs. Freese who owned the boarding house? You don't happen to have her and/or her husband's first names do you?

Maybe Curt could do a brief recap of Dayton History’s reproduction of that trial at the Old Courthouse in downtown Dayton. I attended that and it was very enjoyable. They do old trials every summer.

Steve, I am unsure if Mrs. Freese was married, but her first name was Minnie.
historybuff, I was not part of the reproduction of the trial at the courthouse and also missed seeing it. But if you look under books/booklets at the right, the book Spilt Blood is there and has the entire story for people to read for free. Thanks for supporting Dayton History by going to the plays. I've been told that they are a lot of fun!
