Sitting here reminiscing about shopping at Bob's Food Warehouse with my parents as a kid.
It was in Woodlane Plaza on Woodman Drive in Kettering. It later became a Superpetz and appears to now be vacant. Anyone know exactly what years it was in operation? I know it closed when Meijer came to town.
And I would absolutely *love* to have a picture of it!
The building has been many things over the years. At one time it was a Shoppers Fair, an independent grocery called Star or similar, then Bobs and later superpets. May have been a few other things in there that I have forgotten. Shopped at Bobs often as lived off of Woodman. Its sad to go about town to see once bustling areas and now huge empty buildings filling up the landscape.Don't be looking to find many pictures of the way things were as Kettering doesn't have much at this point to share as Dayton does. Go to the Dayton Images on this website and look at what's available. Spent hours on this website going through them yesterday.Don't know what decade your from but if your in the 50s era there are many wonderful views of what Dayton once was.

I know it was in operation during the early 80s to mid 80s because I lived in the plat across from Delphi and I used to buy all my baby food there for my daughter because it was very reasonable.
Forgot to mention that one of my old jr high teachers was one of the managers there and there was no a/c just big ceiling fans. Made it shopping in the summer miserable. Believe it was still open in the 80s as that's when I went back to work. Date of closing not sure. Was the early version of Sam's club except no membership required.
