Is RTA having a Christmas trolley this year? What is your favorite memory of the Christmas Trolley?

If you go to the images and vidieos on this site and go to the 80s you will find one of the retired Christmas buses resting there. Very nostalgic.

I think the first Christmas Trolley was in the early 70s and they used the Marmon Harrington Trolley Bus 515 which I believe is now on display at Carillon Park, or at least it was.

I think I was born in the wrong era. Anything spectacular has now been called nostalgic even b4 I was born. Us kids born in the late 80's early 90's (me 1989) get the crud end of the stick.we surely missed out

The 50's & 60's in Dayton was a magical time. That doesn't mean there were no down side to things, there were, but they were gentler times and people seemed to care more and the things we cared about seemed to have a lot more value to them. Dayton History Books Online helps us to keep those memories alive. On the other hand Kristin, while we were going through those times, it was just everyday happenings to us. Things become nostalgic to us when we hit our 40's or so and realize we're no longer the young generation. You will also have times you cherish that are happening today. When you get to that stage of your life and you look back on it, they will seem special too, so don't get discouraged. You'll have your special times too

515 wasn't a Christmas trolley, but it is on display at Carillon.
