Does anyone have any memories of the bar/restaurant known as The Six Mile House, located on the corner of N. Main Street and Westbrook Road between Shiolh and Englewood?

I remember it as a kid. Why did they call it The Six Mile House?

There was also a stop 8 and stop 10 on the old Tipp City route. Stop 8 was of course at stop 8 Road and I don't recall where the stop 10 was located. that was the old St. Johns Transportation Co. that used to run those routes.

Thank you for the link, but most of all, thank you for being the one to finally post about something that was before my time. Now I feel young again.

The "Six mile House" was one of my Dad's hang outs. They had draft beer and a "short beer". Dad would drink and my brother and I would play bumper pool.My brother and I were very young and my Mom hated my Dad's taking us there.
