Does anyone remember going to the Captain Kidd Drive Inn on David road? When they opened they would broadcast the sound over your car radio as you would watch. Cool idea, but at end of movie, some people would have dead batteries :( Also across the street was Skateworld, one of my other old "Haunts". I understand it is still there! Awesome! I would probly fall and break a hip if I were to go rollerskating again..LOL

Captain Kidd was showing movies not appropriate for children and could be viewed by pretty much anyone. Who ever approved that drive in being placed there have no idea and know its existance was short lived. It was enveloped by residential houses which made it totally inappropriate and noisy on top of it.

I seem to remember before the Captain Kidd,in about that same location there was a "coffee house",a place for younger folks.Sort of a pre-hippie/beatnick hangout.Don't remember the name.
