In Beavercreek, before it was Asia Palace, I vaguely remember a burger joint in that space that offered shoestring French fries. What was the name of this business? Does anyone have some background on it?
Armadillo Records in Kettering was owned , originally , by Tom Weisser(who also owned The Forest on Wayne Ave. in Dayton & Bullfrog Records in Kettering )I worked at all three buinesses over a period of twenty plus years.
Thank you for the information. I'm looking for photos of Armadillo Records from the 1980s - would you be a source for those or could you put me in touch with Tom? I can be reached at daytonmagic@gmail.com.
I worked at Armadillo Records for about 14 years ,and believe it or not , I don't have one single photo !!! I will check with some former co-workers to see if someone else may have some .I have lost track of Tom over the last 15 years .
I use to buy all my records at Amadillo records and Bullfrogs records. I probably saw you a thousand times...lol. My friends father owned the IGA store next to Amadillo records. I can't remember the name of the restaurant name before it became the Asia Palace. I remember taking my children there to get the "Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich." They put sliced strawberries on the sandwich also. The Asia Palace has recently changed its name. I think it is a Thai restaurant now.
I think that the place you are thinking of was called "GD Ritzies" (don't quote me on the spelling). My sister was wild for the PBJ - I loved the fried too!
