We had a Sam's pizza in Trotwood back in the 70s. At the time it was the only pizza place in Trotwood. So they kind of had the market cornered. But it was awesome pizza! Wait, I'm wrong. There was a Cassanos out at the old Salem Mall. But Sam's was much closer.

I think there used to be a Sam's Pizza on Linden Avenue. That would have been in the 1960's.

I also lived on Parkhill 3rd house from Salem Ave. My dad would call up to Sam's and order a pizza usually on Saturday nights. It was a very short walk. There is nowhere that they put the ingredients on that way. Piled up on the pizza. Marion's is close. The hot subs were good, too. The store didn't look like much, but they sure made a nice pizza. I miss Sam's. Down here in Florida, there is nobody, I mean nobody, that makes pizzas like in Dayton. Vic & Mom's even had a nice pizza, but I think they have changed.
