Hi all,
There is now a link on the right side of the page that will take you to various stories, articles, photos and personal accounts of the flood that hit Dayton in 1913. I plan to add to this page quite a bit as we head towards the 100 year anniversary. Check it out if the subject interests you.

I had heard some time ago that there was talk of putting markers on buildings and lamp poles downtown that indicated the depth of the flood waters. Not sure if it was an idea that never took root or if someone was actually working on it. Anyone have any info on this?

I've seen various places downtown; corners of buildings, RTA poles. That have markers on them showing the water level of the 1913 flood. Some are stickers that have been there for awhile and are looking a little faded. But if you look around, they can be found.

In another post I mentioned that my Grandfather had been born in Dayton in 1913-he was born in February-not July as I previously posted.
