Does anyone remember when the long ladder fire truck was struck at third and main st's. It was on a emergency run and i believe was hit by another fire truck coming from another direction, neither one yeilded for other.. It slammed into mayors jewelers and killed some people.. and i think the fireman steering the rear of the ladder truck was killed also.. this happened sometime in 1950's. like 1952,or 53 I believe.. My mother was getting off work at the arcade and was standing on the opp corner.. Does anyone have any pictures of this terrible accident?..

I don't know why I recall that accident happening when we lived in New Lebanon for a couple of years which was 1954-1956.
