The neighborhood garden on Marathon Avenue has become weed infested. I was back to the Marathon neighborhood Sunday and noticed this. It is very sad. This used to be a nice garden kept up by residents. Please neighbors bring back this area.

What once was a nice neighborhood has gone to pot and am sure the residents are no longer interested nor have been in many years. Thats pretty much the story of way too many neighborhoods in Dayton.

The apartment upstairs at 61 Marathon Ave. was my first home as a bride in 1964.Directly across from Richmond Ave.The neighborhood was very nice and peaceful back then.We lived there for almost two years and I walked everywhere without any worry at all.It seems like everywhere that I knew in Dayton proper has declined to a sad state. It is so sad to me.............

You are right!I used Google Earth and came to the same conclusion! It seems I was mistaken in my assumption that that particular neighborhood is in decline.I stand corrected!

The neighborhood is in decline but your house still looks good.I still love that part of Dayton even thou I never lived there.
