My brother, Dean Dooley, coached and taught there, late 40's, not sure when he left. Coached basketball and track. He graduated from Steele in '39. "Welcome" stadium is actually named after his coach at Steele, Perc Welcome. He was all city in basketball at Steele, and I think held some city and state records in the broad jump and the high jump. He used to work Summers at the old NCR park, and taught tennis in Oakwood and the rec center there. He ended up at Arizona State in their Development Department. He has passed away. He spent a great deal of his life in Dayton.

Both my parents went to Wilbur Wright. Graduated in 53, I think. Right before they got married in 54. Back when it was still a high school.
