Anyone else remember the Ohmar man "knocking on your door", and the Whites Bakery truck, delivering fresh baked goods to the house. The delivery man would carry a rack of products to the door, and the smell of the pastries is probably one of my favorite memories, as a child.
Ohmar was later purchased by "Home Pride" bakery and a short time later, went out of business.
Another company that delivered baked goods was "The Jewel Tea Company".

My oldest brother was a delivery person for Whites Bakery
I also can remember when the Milkman left milk in the carton on our porch and does anyone remember the Strawberry peddler in dayton view that would shout out "STRAWBERRRRIES"
