Does anybody remember a toy store that was on, I think, Patterson Rd? The same owners also owned a toy store on Brown St. The things in there were not the typical Barbie dolls and dime store toys. The one on Patterson was larger. There were all the better toys from England, and France. Things like Rikes would handle. Today Toys R Us is a far cry from the high quality these stores had. I would salivate in there.

There are still a couple of hometown toy stores in our area that I know of that can still give you that feeling of days gone by. One is in Oakwood on Far Hills and the other is on Rt 571 up in Tipp City. Didnt know about a toy store on Patterson Rd. Not everyone likes the big box stores. Less personal.

Supersix, I think that is the one. My neighbors, next door to me as a child were the owners. Very odd people, long since passed away. Her name was Hulda Foster and his name was Enos Crook. Golly, were they odd! The store was exquisite. I was in 7th heaven in there.
