My dad, Claude William Hosier age 94, is looking for family of his mother, Leone Stanley Evans Hosier born June 30, 1888. Her parents were Lewis Cash Evans and Lucy Clegg. Her grandfather was James B Clegg. His family ran the streetcar between Dayton and Oakwood. James B. Clegg died October 26, 1884, and is buried at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum. My dad has family documents, etc. that he would like to give to the family.

I've tried replying to this twice and for whatever reason it won't take. Anyway. If it is what I think it is. OSRW could be the Ohio Reformatory for Women. Which is still an operating prison for women in Marysville, Ohio.

Have you thought about maybe getting with the Oakwood Historical Society? They might be able to help you. At least they might be able with piecing a family tree together enough to maybe contact a living relative. If not they might be a good place to donate the documents for preservation.

I'm a little late replying to this thread but.....
OSRW might stand for Oakwood Street Railway, the streetcar and later trolley bus company.

The Clegg house is located at the corner of first and jefferson west of shrine temple.I would imagine that was Marthas grandparents. You might check Oakwood high school for some info.I believe they lived on Dixon ave east and two blocks from far hills.-good luck.

There are quite a few Clegg obits listed at the Dayton Library?

http://www.daytonmetrolibrary.org/hobits-search

You might try getting a couple of the more recent ones and see if you can find a connection to your line?

Oh... If I remember to look this weekend, I think I have some Clegg genealogy at home, but I suspect that it's all too far back to lead to any living descendants.
