I am a '61 CHS grad, and remember so well those Friday/Saturday nights at Welcome Stadium. It was pretty easy to be real proud to be a part of those celebrations. I actually played freshman football, but gave it up after starting to practice my sophomore year. Sorry I didn't stick it out.
