Anyone else remember the Bank bar on North Main St.? It was a neighborhood watering hole especially for those of us between the ages of 18 and 21 in the '60's.

Played softball for Fireside Lounge against them in city league and tournaments. Knew most of the players and went to school at Chaminade with quite a few of them. They had a very good team and were a great bunch of guy's. After games sometimes went to The Bank to socialize. GREAT MEMORIES

Later there was a bar downstairs called the vault. The site was formerly a bowling alley. The 19th hole was a bar formerly in the space occupied by the Bank.

joey, did you remember a guy on the Bank softball named Jim "Java" Dillon?

Didn't the Bank close it's doors after the murder there?

jack1971 Didn't know Jim Dillon but there was another Dillon named Dick Dillon he's one of my friends from Chaminade. I dont think it was long after the killing. The guy who got shot was a friend, his name was Larry Schear.

Java31148 Was in same class as Dick at Chaminade we ate lunch together every day of our junior year. There was a friend of his who sat at the same table,. His name was Pat Culp.I played for 3 yrs. with Fireside Lounge out of Brookville. Played 2 yrs. with A-1 Trophy also. Not a starter but they had the best class A softball team in the state.
