Any ole timers from Huber that went to Menlo Park and Kitty Hawk schools?

I see on Google Earth that they have also been leveled and remodeled?

All Huber schools (except Shenandoah/Mendola, Studebaker, and Titus) have been torn down and rebuilt new. I never went to KH or MP, but did go to Rushmore (K,2,3), and opened Valley Forge (4,6) and Shenandoah (5). KH/MP are finally one school, named Wright Bros. Elementary. Also new Chas Huber Elem., first school north of 70.

Looks like they were both demolished in 2012.

flikhem, I moved to Florida in 1981 and have never been back to Dayton since then.

I would go into culture shock if and when I do make it back.

I went to Titus Junior High and then to Wayne my freshman year, and then to Patterson Co-op the rest of the time.

Jack, I wonder if you ever look at the national news coming out of Florida recently, I think Dayton news is a lot more acceptable…….

jack, referencing your comment about going into culture shock coming back to Dayton, I just saw on the news about all the shootings going on in Florida, a guy got killed in a movie theatre for throwing popcorn at a guy, that seemed kind of unfair,LOL. I was thinking about relocating to Sarasota, but now not so sure. Course, shootings are everywhere but now Dayton doesn’t seem so bad…..

History, my reference to culture shock was targeted to all the changes that have taken place in the last 33 years in the Dayton area.

I probably wouldn't even recognize much of it! But I do go on Google Earth a lot, even though even that isn't updated to 2014, obviously!

Its too bad Google earth doesn’t update more often. I wonder if there’s anything out there that gives an up-to-date view of how things are? how about web-cams? I think there are a lot of those around, at least in larger cities?

jack1971.....I knew exactly what you meant in your observation. I couldn't agree more.

history, good point. In between my nursing home gigs, I'm always looking for something to keep me busy, I'll investigate that possibility.
