Did anyone else go to Doctor Zelda Heiney as a child?

Her office was on Forrest Ave, and was an old house that had been turned into a doctor's office.

I remember at the corner of the Main and Forrest was a Hoover Vacuum Cleaner Store.

As a young child mother took us to a Dr. Robins who had an office I believe in one of the units at Overlook Homes or in the vicinity of Overlook. We later moved to Kettering and of course found a new dr
and have no idea who that would have been. That far back I don't think there were pediatricians just family doctors. Feel free to correct me if wrong.

Our family dentist was Downtown in the fidelity building. I hated that place as a child. The whole building always smelled like a hospital. I am wanting to say his name was Nelson, but I am not sure.

My dentist was downtown too. His name was Dr. Bullette (?) Can't remember much about him, I only went when very young. Our family doctor was Dr. Glenn Snyder in Miamisburg. He delivered all four of us kids and made house calls as well as office hours. He had 6 large aquariums in his waiting room which was lower part of a large house. My brother's middle name is Glenn, named after him.

Oh man, Dr. Heiney!

Yup, she was my doc back in the late 40's. Never knew her first name till reading above.

All I can really remember about her was she telling me (just before starting) while getting my tonsils out and saying about the ether, "This will make you go to sleep and it smell nice." Yea, sure, nice smell...even to this day, I can't stand the smell (even remotely) of ether.

Bill
