cjlee, I remembered another thing about my walk around your house area, there was someone, I believe she was an old lady who had a parrot that she kept in a cage on a porch. The house was either just at the beginning of the alley approach, or just at the end where it came out on Ferguson, do you remember seeing and hearing that parrot? Did you know that lady.

Dayton girl01 I don't remember the parrot. I knew a lot of kids on Ferguson but not your friend.
Email me if you want. I live in Texas but my heart is in Dayton. I have all my group pictures from my 7 years at Edison somewhere. I think my brother Bob was in Miss Dolly' s class.

Hi Connie, no problem, not sure the years I saw the parrot..you have group pictures?? I don't remember those, I bet my mom has some too. She has kept all sorts of things from my childhood, and she lives with us now, so I may do a little digging and see if I can locate any pictures like that. The only pictures I remember were the individual ones and one that someone took with colored film at a 3rd grade play we did, which has several classmates in it as well as me. Not sure what the theme was now, except there was lots of crepe-paper involved and it ended up around my waist. thanks for sharing your e-mail address, I'll keep in touch.
