mjr1960- My Dad worked for Schriber/Harris 1959-1986. Is your father still living? If so ask him if he knew Charlie(Hank)Dunlavey He worked in the machine shop.I also tried to get a job there, they wouldn't hire me either.

My father worked for a couple radio stations here in town and in Cincy. I remember him working downtown at Electrolert making radar detectors. Here's a little article about one of the first ones on the market http://www.radardetectormuseum.com/fuzzbuster_1.html

mjr1960, I worked at Schriber/Harris/AM from 1973-1994 in the engineering dept. Jerry Richey was the head of the engineering group. I also remember his brother Jim.

Chuck 48, Dad passed in 2000 of a car accident, His brother Jim passed in dec 2003 of a Heart attack, J fox68, I probably have met you as I had been in the design area many times over the years, Especially on Saturdays, I would get to come to work with him. I remember drawing on the drawing boards with some markers and they bled thru to the work on the board, I'll bet that guy wasn't to happy on Monday!! Hope it wasn't you LOL!!!

My Dad worked at G.M., started with Frigidaire and retired from Harrison Radiator in 1998. My Mom worked briefly at Winter's Bank before marrying and being the homemaker/stay-at-home mom.
My Granddad owned Deis Distributing until his death.
My other Grandpa was a firefighter, he drove the back part of the hook and ladder truck until an accident prevented him from firefighter duties. Then he worked for the Dayton trash department, in the office.

joey m, that is correct, my Granddad (mother's dad) was Hugo Deis, who owned Deis Distributing. He worked there with his brother Paul and I am sure someone else but I don't recall. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet his, he died in 1977, two years before I was born.
